What is nuckle joint?

The knuckle joint is also known as the metacarpophalangeal joint (MCP joint) and is located between the metacarpal bones (the bones that make up the palm of the hand) and the phalanges (bones of the fingers). It is a hinge joint that allows flexion and extension of the fingers. The knuckle joint is supported by ligaments and tendons that help to stabilize and move the joint. Injuries to the knuckle joint, such as fractures or dislocations, can cause pain, swelling, and difficulty with hand and finger movement. Treatments for these injuries may include rest, ice, compression, and physical therapy. In severe cases, surgery may be required.
